SACRIFICIAL INNOCENCE

This painting is an interpretive self-portrait that expresses the emotions of a wounded inner child and the sense of being a sacrificial lamb. The central figure represents me, with her large eyes emphasizing her childlike nature. I placed her beside a lamb to further highlight themes of innocence, purity, and vulnerability. Surrounded by a field of flowers with bubbles drifting through the air, the scene carries a whimsical atmosphere—something that might delight a child—yet it contrasts sharply with the girl’s expression. Though she is depicted as a child, she is aware.
